Privacy policy

This page explains what Otterly Lost Guide collects and why, in plain terms.

What is collected

Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. It records aggregated data such as page views, approximate country, referrer, browser and device type. It does not identify you by name.
Server logs. Our hosting provider processes standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) to serve pages and block abuse.
No accounts, no forms. There is no login, no comment system and no newsletter. Nothing you type here is stored, because there is nothing to type into.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish sessions. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, respect for it depends on your browser and any extensions you use; blocking analytics cookies with an extension does not break the site.

Advertising

This site shows advertising supplied by Adsterra, a third-party ad network. Ads are served on two slots: a native banner that loads on desktop browsers, and a 320×50 banner that loads on phones and tablets. The network may set its own cookies or device identifiers to cap repeat impressions and measure performance, and the ad is rendered in an isolated frame that cannot navigate the page you are reading.

We do not pass your name or any personal details to the ad network. An ad blocker or a content blocker will simply stop the ad slots from filling — the rest of the page works normally. Opt-outs and controls for other vendors are listed at aboutads.info.

Your choices

Clear or block cookies in your browser settings.
Use a browser profile or extension that blocks analytics and ads.
Request information about anything this site holds that relates to you — in practice this amounts to aggregate analytics, not personal data.
