Achievements: all 20 in the release build
Otterly Lost ships with 20 Steam achievements, and none of them are combat or speed challenges — they track the things the game is actually about: the story, the three Keeps, the collections and the small moments. The demo had no achievements at all, so the whole list is new with the full game.
Everything below is taken from the game's community achievements page on Steam (app 3861710) on September 25, 2026, two days after release.

How the list breaks down
- Story and the Keep (5). Guide the Tides, Calm the Wind and Awaken the Ice are the three Tablets — Tides, Wind and Ice — each returned to its Keep. True Keeper is the end of the main journey, and In Good Spirits tracks the spirits you guide back to their shrines.
- Side quests (4). Dinner's Served! is Thalor's Sea Salad, Story Time is Marve's story from the Deep Sea, Spiritual Guidance is Erian's quest on the Floating Isle, and Pillar of the Community asks you to help all three of them.
- Your rock (3). The game hands you a favourite rock early — Sea Otter's Best Friend — and Rock Solid wants it upgraded to its maximum level. Just Me and My Rock is the one you get for doing nothing at all.
- Courses and movement (3). The swimming courses in Splash Waters, the gliding course, and a dolphin jump while wearing a fin.
- Collections (2). Every fish in the world, and every travel buoy.
- Cosmetics (2). An accessory from every category at once, and a matching set.
Completion notes worth knowing
- The first patch was about missing quest items. v1.0.1 (September 24) fixed an issue where world shrines could accidentally "consume" carryable objects such as the Paw Button and the Egg. After the patch, an affected item respawns in its original location — so if something went missing in your save, update the game and pick it up again rather than starting over.
- The same patch fixed a repeatable ending. If you re-entered the Fountain of Balance after becoming a Keeper, the ending sequence could trigger again; that is fixed in v1.0.1.
- Saves are kept across patches. The studio confirmed existing save files survive v1.0.1, and the store page lists Save Anytime and Steam Cloud support, so a completion run does not have to be done in one sitting.
- Nothing we could find is permanently missable. We checked the official announcements and the patch notes for a warning about missable achievements and found none; quest items that disappear are restored by the patch rather than lost.
